My boys This week it has been crazy with Holiday Club in the evenings. Two days I left lists of things that needed to be done while I was out. On one day Our Sidekick really didn’t want to help but on the second day when I commented that it would “count towards him being able to go see his girlfriend” he was very helpful and I think he did 75% of the list. (And started just after I left before Chris got in from work).
Mum Every year leading up to Holiday Club, she plans crafts and activities for the kids to do. Then when it gets to the Holiday Club week she works all day and then goes to run the group and any other tasks she had to do like puppetry this year. Two of the activities involved her taking home the completed items to bake them in the oven. (I grabbed two bits of Fimo that were left over and managed to make this)
Friends This morning Jaxon and I went off for an unexpected coffee date, while at breakfast with Chris, I got a message inviting us out for coffee so Jaxon and I pottered off to the local supermarket and waited for our friend and her little boy to arrive. It wasn’t a long coffee date but it was a lovely little stop off to break up the day. My friend’s husband is also into a lot of things that Chris is into so we’re going to plan a dinner party so that we can try and get them in the same room and get them talking about the things that they like.
My Brother Mum and I were tidying up this evening following Holiday Club so that we didn’t have to go back tomorrow when everyone else is tidying as Mum had stuff she needs to get done. Although Richard’s wifey had gone home, he stayed to help us finish up what we needed to do. He’s so lovely!
Just a short one today, so what are you grateful for this week?
