LOTR

This week I’ve watched LOTR: The Two Towers and now I’m watching The Return of The King.

I was looking for a map of Middle Earth to see where all the bits where in relation to each other then I found this one and thought it was kinda interesting.

Now as you can see there are interesting shaded bits on it like around the Shire and Old Forest. Middle Earth was from the imagination of J.R.R. Tolkien but this map really makes it look like it could have been real.

I agree. How crazy would it be being able to walk from Bedford (or the rough area lol) to what would be Paris – okay might take a little while but would be an adventure lol.

Then again it kinda puts in perspective how far Frodo and Sam must have walked if it’s laid out like that.

I adore the LOTR films that Peter Jackson did, the directors cuts are awesome, mind you they do go on for a heck of a lot longer, it’s just a shame that Peter Jackson isn’t directing the upcoming Hobbit movie 🙁

I so agree! It would have been good to have the continuity but I think he’s producing anyway so he can put in his two pence and make sure they stick with the things he lay down in the LOTR.

I love that he went to such incredible length to create such a believable world. Even making up a language!! 🙂

They have WoW maps now too… makes me sad it’s not real because I want to go live there 🙂

Tolkein is a genius! The imagination on him is crazy! Then again the Star Trek world and Harry Potter worlds aren’t exactly bland lol.

I’d live in Hobbiton, The Shire or Rivendell lol. Let me know when houses are available lol.
