Oops! I missed a few weeks – where did the time go?
Mary thought “If I sneaked out now while Dad was at the store, I could be back in time before he noticed.” Mary knew that if she kept pushing the boundaries her Dad would ground her or worse, send her back to live with her Mum and Step-Dad but she couldn’t help it – she needed to get out of the house and away from her room. She was supposed to be studying but she had to see him. Surely her Dad understood what it was like to be a teenager right? Then again dinosaurs were still roaming the earth then.
I think I am on 100 words but it could be 101 I had to count myself rather than use the word count tool.
(This story bought to you from a wet field in Devon)
You can find this week’s prompt at http://www.theheadsoffice.co.uk/100-word-challenge-for-grown-ups-week9/
Teen fiction – nice one! Bet nobody else thinks of that. The teenage moodiness and rebellion comes across really well.
Typical teens! Sounds like you are writing from experience. Great entry
Teenage rebellion, who hasn’t been there… good take on this weeks challenge
Speaking as a dinasour Dad, we do sometimes forget! Excellent story. Really enjoyed it.
Enjoyes this, especially the dinosaur reference! Well written in the genre you chose
Hey there. Thank you 🙂 I think I tend to stick to teen or crime fiction as it’s what I read the most myself.
I do hope the rain didn’t last too long. Great to see you back. Loved this piece. I could see the situation happening through many teen minds!
BTW you have 100 plus the prompt so this week you had 102!
Oops! I knew I was a few over lol. Was trying to count the words while Chris was talking to me and I was trying to get comfy sat in the tent in a field lol. All in all two over isn’t bad then again is it 100 + the prompt or 100 words including the prompt…
