You can find this week’s prompt here. I spent about an hour writing this (on the 15th August) only to realise that it’s the wrong prompt so I’ve posted it back where it should have been! Doh!
The crowd had gathered outside the recording studios. Their cries were heard a few hundred metres along the street – who would believe that the fans would react in such a way when their favourite band split up. Each huddle of fans had different explanations of what had happened and why they were splitting up. Some said drugs, others said alcohol, a few even said that one of the members were fed up. After a little while the number of police and press had also doubled. Three of the band members came to stand outside the doors and started their statement.
I like the way you have portrayed the rumours and gossip, and created a busy feel to this piece.
