This Weekend I… went to take part in a sponsored bounce for the CF Trust that my friend Dave, his wifey Emma and JD organised. Dave and Emma’s kids have CF so it’s a cause close to all our hearts. There was a guy from Bedford Flyers there who was able to do a bit of teaching/coaching while we all bounced and had a go on the trampoline. Our Sidekick was amazing and I was so proud of him for giving it a go rather than freaking out and sitting on the sidelines. One of the ladies made this amazing cake to have on the cake table…
This Weekend I… caught up with JD. We walked from the school that the sponsored bounce was hosted at into town. I was offered a lift by JD’s Mum and Dad but I turned it down, given that the sun was shining and I didn’t really have to rush to be anywhere I would take the time to catch up with JD.
This Weekend I… received my new iPad Mini case that I’d ordered from IdealCases. It was sitting on the stairs when I got home all ready for me to open it. I’d ordered it on Thursday and it arrived within 3 days! This is what it looks like……
This Weekend I… took part in a performance called Dr Watson’s Elementary School. It was good fun and we had lots of laughs. My brother was in it as a character called Mr Sparkes. He was the school caretaker. It has a murder mystery as part of the story and it was definitely interesting to see who did it in the end especially as there are hints within the story. My Grandparents came to watch as three of their grandchildren were in the performance. I was sat the opposite side of the room from them so I’m not sure how much enjoyed it and I missed them at the end of the performance but it was lovely to have a catch up with my Grandma before the performance started.
This Weekend I… played taxi with Chris to get some of our friends to Church. We had two stops this week but sometimes we have 3 or 4. Following church, I finished writing a letter to my friend K. Two of my other friends came to check on me to make sure I was okay as I hadn’t moved from where I had been sat during the service. I ended up having two really good heart to hearts with K.
This Weekend I… was blessed enough to be invited to a lunch for volunteers who help at The Fountain. We had tomato soup to start (it’s growing on me – still not my favourite but its okay!), lasagne for mains and for pudding we had a Polish desert that one of the young people had made. It was very sweet but very yummy.
This Weekend I… chilled in front of the TV. The rest of the weekend had been so mad that I just needed to chill out. I watched Mean Girls with K then caught up on the TV that I had recorded. Our Sidekick and I then watched How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory and Once Upon A Time. I finished off the evening watching a movie called Elevator Girl.
