The worst hotel/accommodation you have stayed in

The worst accommodation that I’ve stayed in would be the B+B near Earls Court that me and Chris stayed in, it was called the Hotel Olympia. We’d gone to London for a few days to have a break from the craziness in Bedford. Chris had found this B&B about 5-10 minutes’ walk from Earls’ Court tube station as well as that it was close to the centre but wasn’t going to break the bank price wise. It wasn’t too bad but our room was on the ground floor at the front of the building so we had cars and ambulances belting past the window all night.

I think the point of the trip to London was to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Unfortunately due to the lack of sleep I was getting I was not in the best mood for walking round London and things like that.

You can find the prompts and join in by taking a look at Ian’s blog.

Wow you escape the craziness of Bedford to go the one the most hectic cities in the world? Bedford must have been crazy at that time!!

We’d been married a year and was still living in our “flat” in the church office so home wasn’t really down time as until about 11pm anyone could walk in. London seemed like a nice adventure and off we went.

Can sympathise with that, I remember staying in a terrible hotel near Victoria Station once. But in my case it was just a stopover on my way back to work in Germany, so not as bad as being there for a supposed break, and for more than one night too!

In fact, thinking about it now, I just remembered another horrible London hotel I stayed in as well, with a room that was more the size of a medium cupboard.

One night I might have survived but it was like 2 or 3 – really could have done with ear plugs lol.
