Each Monday I start with a sum up of what’s currently happening around these parts – especially when some weeks seem to fly by quicker than others!
Watching:
I’ve been watching more Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries. It’s about 1929 now so still in the 20s but you can kind of tell that things are changing. I watched Season 1 and 2 on Netflix but managed to find Season 3 on YouTube.
I’ve been watching more Periscope videos and also posted a few more of my own. Still getting the hang of holding my phone at the right angle and far enough away so I get all my face in the picture lol.
Reading:
I’ve been carrying on with reading The Boatman as I’m trying to clear my currently reading list. I ended up starting a new book yesterday. I’ve been lent the Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins (same author as The Hunger Games) so while sat at Fun in The Park manning the H.Q. Tent, I kept an eye on Jaxon who was playing and exploring the tent and read the book between questions and visitors. We became an unofficial crèche/changing room too. At one point there were two babies and three mummies in this tent lol.
Making:
I’ve been working on a granny blanket. We were given this big blanket by Chris’s Auntie. I fell in love so decided that I would make one of my own. I’m aiming for a proper double size or even king size blanket so that we can all snuggle under it when winter comes. Strange to be thinking about that in the middle of July.
Eating:
Jaxon had his birthday party this week so there was a lot of cake and desserts. I was trying to be good and just have little things like caramel squares but by the end my willpower had left the building and I ended up having a chunk of chocolate gateaux for pudding. Oops! Hopefully the walking I’ll be doing this week will make up for it.
Working On:
This week is supposed to be chilled but we’ll see so I’m working on the crochet projects, we’ll see how much I get done by the end of the week.
